I work on Youth issues namely Education & Skills, Livelihoods & Jobs and Apprenticeship & Entrepreneurship segment in Policy formulation and Advocacy roles.
I have worked for some of the biggest employment generating sectors in India – which have also been identified as focus sectors of the Government as part of its skill development agenda, in Policy formulation, Invest Promotion & Employment generation roles, which has provided me with the knowledge of helping youth in career direction and career counselling.
For over two decades, I have been closely associated with the propagating the importance of TVET and skill development and was put in charge/ member of several important institutions to draw the blue-print of this segment in India by the Government of India & Government of West Bengal respectively, the experiences of which helps me in guiding the youth on up-skilling.
I have been keenly associated with sensitizing institutes of higher education, particularly engineering colleges, to tailor their curriculum to meet industry requirements & I have played a prominent part in developing closer ties between business and academia, which has helped the youth to be updated and skilled to embark on a professional journey.
I have been an ardent campaigner of developing National Occupational Standards for identified job roles.
I provide youth, particularly from poor and marginalised backgrounds with a career path.
